Check in to one of our partner hostels located in the historical centre of Florence. One week before your arrival, we will send you the details of your accommodation in Florence and the directions to get there. Check in time is from 3 pm, however feel free to leave your bags in the luggage storage if you arrive earlier.
After check in feel free to come to our office to grab some free city maps, receive more information about the activities available on the day or to book your museum tickets.

DAY 2:

It's Tuscany time! On the second day depending on which day you are arriving, you will be able to join one of our day trip to the Chianti region for some great scenery, food and Tuscan wine. The tours to choose are either the Grape Escape wine tour to San Gimignano or the Taste of Tuscany day trip to Siena departing from Florence. Once back from the tour, you will be free to check one of the recommended restaurant/ bars or have an easy night.

DAY 3:

On the third day, unfortunately you will have to leave your room by 10am however feel free to store your bags in the luggage room of the hostel and finish checking out the last monuments of Florence or join one of our city tour to find out more about the city.

DAY 4:

If you feel that you haven't seen enough in 3 days, add an extra night in Florence. Pick also one of the other activities and save 20%. You could either take a day trip to Cinque Terre and Pisa or get your hands dirty on a cooking course. Tuscany is a beautiful region and there is always something to do so that you are never bored.

The cooking course will take place in a rural villa surrounded by olive trees and vines. You will learn how to create authentic Tuscan starters together with a funny and knowledgeable chef, home made pasta combined together with two different sauces, and last but not least, a second course.During the meal you will also taste 3 different types of wines produced in the region by a local winery that you will be able to buy at a very low cost before returning back to Florence. 

At the end, our chef will give you a recipe book for you not to forget a truly and hands on experience in Tuscany.

After a 2h bike ride  we will stop in a very characteristic wine shop or “enoteca” to rest and taste, together with a wine expert, some of the best olive oil and Italian wines. In here you will be able to buy a tasty sandwich for your lunch before coming on an afternoon tour to to some of the most beautiful local towns in Tuscany ; Siena, Monteriggioni and the Chianti region.

The tour departs from Florence at 2:00pm* and the first stop will be in Monteriggioni, a 13th century medieval town stage of the famous movie “The Gladiator”.  In here you will be able to admire the wonderful views of the area and the Tuscan countryside from the ancient walls or explore the small shops selling the local handcraft.

The second stop will be at the historic city of  Siena where you will be enchanted by the architectural styles of the Cathedral, the Mangia Bell Tower and the Palazzo Pubblico in Piazza del Campo, the venue of the famous Palio horse race held twice a year in July and August. In Siena you will have free time to wander around and discover the hidden beauties of this magical town.

The third stop will be in a local winery. You will be  visiting the cellars with useful explanations given by an expert and you will discover the traditions of the wine making art followed by a wine tasting at the end. In the winery you will be able to buy the local products at a convenient cost either to bring back home or to the local farm later in the day to drink while enjoying the dinner with your new friends.

Finally we will reach an authentic Tuscan farm in the heart of the famous Chianti Classico region for dinner. Here begins the serious task of tasting locally produced Tuscan products, including pecorino cheese  accompanied by various tasty jams, home made cured meats, mixed salad, seasoned vegables  and fresh extra virgin olive oil on bread right before returning back to Florence.

The Historical football game or Calcio Storico was originated in the 16th century and it commemorates a similar match played by a soldier trapped in the city in 1530. This Renaissance soccer game is played in square in front of Santa Croce by teams from four neighbourhoods in Florence: Santa Croce, Santa Spirito, Santa Maria Novella, and San Giovanni. The game is a combination of soccer, rugby, and big time wrestling, all played while wearing 16th century costumes.   The final game is always played on the 24th June with is also the Florence's saint patron day.

Come with us in the afternoon of the 24th June to watch one of the famous events in Florence, the Calcio Storico. The modern version allows tactics such as head-butting, punching, elbowing, and choking, but forbids and kicks to the head.

After the game we will all head down to a local bar where the Italian aperitivo is served and we will all watch the fireworks over the Piazzale Michelangelo.

Meet our local guide at 10am for a short journey outside of Florence. During the trip you will receive info about the area and interesting facts about the locals. Once at the ranch the horses will be there waiting for us. Don't worry if you haven't ridden a horse before, the experienced staff will make sure you feel confident before leaving for a ride. We will ride lush wineyards, native woods, olive groves and rolling hills for a collection of breathtaking and unforgettable views for about 1h30m.
